Our Story

Accurate and Balanced Business Services was built from decades of hands-on business experience and a passion for helping entrepreneurs create strong financial foundations.

The journey began in 1993 in Michigan, when our founder opened her first construction business and started working with the early versions of QuickBooks Desktop. While managing the financial operations of her own company, she discovered a talent for helping other small business owners set up accounting systems and organize their bookkeeping processes. What began as helping neighboring businesses soon grew into a long-term professional mission.

In 2007, the journey continued in West Virginia, where our founder expanded her work with small and developing businesses while building her own accounting practice as a DBA. During these years, she worked with a wide variety of business owners, helping establish bookkeeping systems and practical financial processes that supported business growth. 

After relocating to Oklahoma in 2018, Accurate and Balanced Business Services entered a new phase of growth and innovation. As accounting technology evolved, our founder expanded into the QuickBooks Online platform in addition to Desktop, earned QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification, and focused on building a more comprehensive practice designed to meet the changing needs of modern businesses.  As demand increased, she incorporated Accurate and Balanced Business Services and expanded operations by adding Associates to provide complete full-charge bookkeeping, business management services, accounting software support, and business management training for small to mid-market clients. During this time, she also taught QuickBooks Online software courses at two local technology centers, helping business owners and professionals strengthen their accounting skills and improve financial confidence. Those experiences further expanded our expertise, sharpened our processes, and strengthened our impact within the business community. 

Today, Accurate and Balanced Business Services proudly serves more than 35 clients across 27 different industries, backed by over 35 years of QuickBooks and accounting experience. While our roots span Michigan, West Virginia, and Oklahoma, our reach extends well beyond state lines. We currently serve clients across Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, and California, demonstrating that today's technology allows us to provide high-level bookkeeping, business management, and advisory services wherever our clients do business. Geography does not define our service area—relationships, expertise, and results do. We continue to grow with one goal: delivering accurate financial systems, balanced business solutions, and trusted support that helps businesses thrive.
